Areniscas Rosal: the Mediterranean Feeling with natural stone from the Spanish Levante
With its stand at Marmomacc in Hall 6 Stand F 5, the company evokes the feeling of sunlight, warmth and the touch of a soft ocean breeze
„Mediterranean at Home“ is the new motto of the Spanish company Areniscas Rosal. The well-known natural stone company invites its guests to the feeling of the European South: the stand is an open court between protecting walls which might be located somewhere above the ocean, bathed by the sun with a soft wind and the sound of the sea in the distance.
Areniscas Rosal has contracted the famous architect Martín Lejarraga for the design of the stand. One of his guidelines is to bring modernity and tradition together. More than this he wants to put the people, the countryside and nature in a respectful ambience.
The concept of the stand is the connection between interior and exterior spaces of the south houses. The architect uses natural stone in several formats and special textures to create this impression.
In the center of the stand is the famous sandstone called Albamiel, with its soft cream tone and elegant unobtrusive veins, next to Alba, Dune, Ocean and the noveltys Milos and Antiq. A great selection of stones that gives the feeling of a hot day in the south and the bright sunshine under blue sky.
As a special highlight, at a corner of the stand will be presented the company’s concept for the restoration of the Rosales Quarry developed by estudio de arquitectura SSS Archi. The idea is to create a labyrinth on the different floors of the quarry and to use the faces in a playful way.
They will be greened with plants and trees to create a natural spectacle in which the Albamiel stone will continue to play the central role. In the concept, landscape architect Walter de Maria is quoted: „The terrain is not the stage of the work, is part of the work.“
Areniscas Rosal recently completed 30 years of extracting processing and commercial use of natural stones in the Levante Español, the region behind the coast, by this building a bridge to the Eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea and tis rich culture.
