(October 2009) Michelangelo Mármores e Granitos has been actively mining, processing and marketing marble and granite since 1989. Presently producing 50,000 m² the company is one of the big players on the Brazilian team. The Company predominantly mines natural stone in its own quarries, among others Marmore Branco Paraná, Napoleon Bordeaux, Nero Michelangelo, Grigio Michelangelo and Crema Michelangelo, all of which can be seen at this year’s Marmomacc.
Michelangelo is one of the first companies to produce stone tiles 1 cm thick manufactured with the help of Italian technology (Pedrini). The products are in demand around the world.
The company has made a name for itself by offering a wide palate of materials to accommodate global demand. Beside local marble and granite the spectrum encompasses imported limestone and travertine as well as materials such as Marmoglass or quartz composite stone.
