From December 11 to 13, 2024 Asean Stone will be organized in Ho Chi Minh City co-located with the 8th Asean Ceramics
Southeast Asia, with the large economies of Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and the Philippines, as well as smaller countries such as Laos, Singapore, Timor, Brunei, and Myanmar, is one of the world’s major economic growth centers. This also applies to the construction industry and the consumption of natural stone and ceramics there. This is why the “ASEAN Stone” trade fair will be held in Vietnam for the first time from December 11 to 13, 2024.
And: because there are large deposits of valuable natural stone varieties in these countries.
The new trade fair will take place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, co-located with “ASEAN Ceramics”, which will see ist 8th issue.
The organizer is MMI Asia Pte. Ltd. based in Singapore, an offshoot of the German Messe München GmbH.
Support with national pavilions comes form the Italian association Confindustria Marmomacchine and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), more precisely: its Building Materials Sub-Council.
The main aim of the trade fair is “to increase production and exports in both sectors”, as stated in a press release. To this end, it also offers exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to find out more about the unknown stone varieties from South East Asia: There will be the so-called Quarry Pavilion, where local and regional stone extraction companies will present themselves.
In general, the trade fair will showcase all types of stone products, from raw blocks and slabs to finished products. The associated technologies and tools for extraction and processing will also be on show.
More than 5,000 visitors and 300 exhibitors are expected over the three days of the fair, including architects and designers as well as builders, construction companies and traders.
