Description of the stone: Medium to fine-grained calcite marble with granoblastic texture, with light greenish-grey and bluish tonalities and whitish calcitic spots
Peculiarities of the stone: In 2018, the stone was used for the “Fountain“ art piece in the garden of the Vitra Museum in Southern Germany. The designers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec created two separate works that examine the interaction between humans, nature, and the artificial environment: One is the 16-meter-long, narrow watercourse made of Verde Serpa marble. The second is a circular seating made of steel surrounding a tree and inviting visitors to linger.
