Description of the stone: The Polaris marble is characterized by a deep white. The stone bears the name of one of the brightest stars above the Northern Hemisphere, utilized by sailors as an orientation over thousands of years. A variety without veins is available under the name of Bianco Polaris.
Peculiarities of the stone: Dolomitic marbles stand out among (calcitic) marbles due to their strong acid resistance and their special shimmer. Their name refers to the high content of the mineral dolomite.
