They use wood from the forests in Croatia and marble from Italy for their furniture
Milla&Milli is a Croatian furniture brand. Their most important material is local wood, which comes from sustainable cultivation and from which all leftover pieces are used. When it comes to the tops for the tables or consoles, marble from Italy is usually used – well, it is also local to a certain extent, as the two countries lie opposite each other on the coasts of the Adriatic Sea.
The brand was founded in 2018, and there is a beautiful romance to the brand name: The founders are Ksenija and Ivić Pašalić, entrepreneurs in the timber company Mundus Viridis LLC. They have been a couple for more than 40 years and call each other by their pet names Mila and Mili respectively. This is mentioned in the company’s catalog.
The path from the pet names for each other to the name for the brand is short.
The designers of the works we are showing are Masa Vukmanović, Jelena Lukač-Šrajer, and Jakov Šrajer from Croatia.
The press release says about their design:“The rounded lines of the furniture in fact convey a sense of comfort and are an invitation to connect back up with a natural environment by means of aesthetics.”
