The 6th Stone Infinite Product Design Show during Xiamen Stone Fair 2024 (March 16 – 19) brought together eight designers and companies to reinterpret the“Beyond Bathroom“ theme from different perspectives. The goal was to craft new enchanting applications for stone and steer the sector toward the forefront of trends.

The eight designers – DAI Kun, HUANG Quan, LI Daode, LIANG Jianguo, MENG Ye, PANG Xi, SUN Jianhua, and ZENG Jianlong – jointly put the spotlight on “bathing” with eight booths thus sharing their design philosophies. In product design, “Stone + Space” and “Stone + Accessories” were key innovations to be explored.

This space design is full of elegance, inspired by the jewelry and architecture of the Baroque period. It shows the artistic charm in the simplest form. The new retro style absorbs the classic elements, integrating modern aesthetic concepts and fashion trends.

The designer tries to create a bathroom by using natural stone to explore the infinite potential of the material, convey vitality, and seek new inspiration.

By taking stone slabs as the basic material, he creates a space with natural forms like terraced fields or rocks, such as mountains, lakes and hills.

The designer builds the space with geometric figures by modern techniques. Stone stales come from the mountain. Inspired by the shape of the mountain, he uses multiple structures to endow the space with humanistic attributes; thereby, the “bathroom“ is constructed in line with the contemporary spirit and humanistic quality.

The long countertop of the central axis extends into the shower room, and at the end lays the egg-shaped bathtub. The ceiling and walls are surfaced with black fabric, while the floor is finished with the marble Brasilia Black to switch the space into dark mode.

The space is designed in a modernist style, in which the entrance has a simple and engaging style with steps and inclined structures to guide people into this “Stone Henge Garden.” Combining the bathroom facilities with the green plants and the marble walls emphasizes the conversion among spaces.

Focusing on the bathing function, the designer divides the exhibition space into three independent yet connected sections. A triangular facade shpaes the entrance while the shower area uses symmetric design applied with the marble Bronzite.
