The Dutch company SolidNature, known for its artistic work with natural stone, has tried its hand at interior design for the first time: At Amsterdam Fashion Week (August 30 to September 4, 2025), it presented its new collection “SolidNature x Wandler“ featuring candlesticks, bookstands, fruit bowls, and shelves made of natural stone.
The setting was a boutique belonging to PAUW, itself a well-known brand for innovative fashion ideas. Here, the SolidNature objects were intended to highlight Wandler’s leather bags.
The stone shelves thus reflected the color and appearance of the leather bags, as our photos show.
The press materials stated that the stone shelves displayed on the wall in the showroom could serve as “sculptural stands“ for the bags at home. Product design with strong echoes of art.
“For me, designing bags has always been about sculpture.“ says Elza Wandler, Founder and Creative Director of Wandler, “with SolidNature, that language now extends into interiors, one of my passions and in collaboration with a partner who shares the same devotion to shape, colour, and imagination.”
Playfulness was also part of the concept: the softly rounded shapes of the objects, reminiscent of peanuts, were deliberately chosen.
The collection features a rich selection of stones, among them Hermee and Verde Bullae onyx, Amarena Field marble, and Starry Night granite, each contributing its own natural patterns and colors to the sculptural silhouettes.
