Architecture with natural stone and ideas for this material will be the subject of increased focus at Verona’s Marmomacc. To this end, presentations will be moved from hall 7b to hall 1 near the main entrance according to a press release. The presentation will show projects all around the Made-in-Italy-motto. Other novelty of the 49th Marmomacc (24th.– 27th September 2014) is the incorporation of the trade fair Abitare Il Tempo. The interior-decoration and design-show counted 154 exhibitors in 2013 (9 of which came from abroad) and 10,124 visitors (1,469 of them from other countries).    

The 2014 Tucker award-winning contributions are published in a magazine. The prize is bestowed biannually by the US-American Building Stone Institute (1, 2).

A new trade center is in planning for the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo. The government is currently calling for bids. The stone fair is to relocate once the complex is completed (Portuguese).
