Marmi Bruno Zanet, Italian based stone company, has sent us this press release: „Marmi Bruno Zanet, in the world of natural stone for over fifty years, in collaboration with Abitare il Tempo and Marmomacc and New Business Media, is launching the first edition of the international competition of ideas „From Nature To Design”. In a constant search for new interpretations in the use of granite, the initiative aims to involve designers, architects, engineers and project designers of all nationalities in designing and developing the use of the stone in a contemporary design concept.
The contest, in which you may participate by sending your nominations by August 26, 2014, combines architecture, innovation and creativity and is ready to welcome ideas and projects that are waiting to be realized. An object, a piece of furniture, but also coverings and construction solutions, that will fit into a modern and functional setting, are just some of the formal and functional concept that the jury is waiting to evaluate.
The quality of the stone becomes architecture, design and furniture to propose to the market of architecture and interior design new ideas on his daily use. Participation is free. The selection and evaluation of projects will take account of their creativity and originality, degree of innovation, research and testing of new design solutions that, even allowing the free expression of participants, will consider the specific technological and productive characteristics and also the degree of technical feasibility.
Ten projects will be selected as the winners of the contest and the jury will have the right to nominate other five projects specially mentioned and deemed worthy for their particular characteristics. For the evaluation of the submitted projects the formal characteristics and the ability of projects to develop and advance innovative usage scenarios will also be assessed. Thanks to the VeronaFiere’s Partnership the most deserving projects will be awarded Thursday, September 25, 2014 during an evening event at the Abitare il Tempo and Marmomacc’s trade fair, organized by Marmi Bruno Zanet and at the presence of national and international press, but most of all of professionals in the sector.“
