Update: „North and Sub-Saharan Africa, new opportunities for building and construction market“ is the title of a seminar at Marmomacc on Thursday 25th September at Room Mascagni (Press Office, between Halls 4 and 5), 9.30 o’clock. Topics will be: Political-Economic scenario of the area; Architecture, Building and Construction market: the vision of the planners; Financial services, rules and laws: which instruments for the companies who want to invest in Africa?; Business experience and opportunities; Time for Q&A. The language will be Italian/English (with simultaneous translation). Participation is free of charge upon registration.
Ideas for architecture and design are to draw increasing attention as a theme at Marmomacc according to the trade fair’s organizers: the many interesting projects hitherto exhibited in hall 7b will be exhibited in hall 1 at this year’s fair (September 24th to 27th).
Our renderings show design ideas in natural stone created by designer Raffaello Galiotto for the exhibit „Design and Technology“. The joint venture was an attempt to challenge the bounds of technology and even go beyond them.
„Living Stone“ is yet another exhibit in hall 1 for which four Italian companies and four Spanish and Portuguese architects have got together to give the atrium of a house a new face. The curators of the show were Raffaello Galiotto, Vincenzo Pavan and Damiano Steccanella.
Stereotomic Design as interpreted by Prof. Guiseppe Fallacara of the University of Bari will be shown, again with a number of unusual concepts. Works in natural stone will once again also be presented in the city center under the auspices of Marmomacc & the City.
For the first time this, the 49th, Marmomacc will be held jointly with the Abitare it Tempo Trade Fair for interior design and furniture, with which Veronafiere hopes to expand the profile of its natural-stone fair according to a press conference.
One of the fields of attention of the Abitare it Tempo is the design of public and semi-public spaces in banks, cinemas and airports, the so-called contract sector in which substantial growth potential is seen. In hall 1 „Luxury and Relax Living“ will be a special presentation. A number of talks are scheduled to inform and provide room for discussion.
Abitare il Tempo will be held at the Palaexpo Complex situated to the left of the main entrance. The complex formerly housed the Chinese exhibitors of the Marmomacc Trade Fair.
