„Industry“ is the name of a flooring in Carrara and Nero Marquina Marble
To achieve maximum effect for minimum effort is the goal of Italian Designer Manuel Barbieri. His motto holds true for his most recent creation: flooring in natural stone by the name of „Industry“ works with a trompe l’oeil of contrasting black and white Carrara Marble tiles. Elements at the center of the tiles are rotated by 45° creating the illusion of stairs.
The effect is astonishing and sets the mood to complement the look with furniture.
„Industry“ was introduced to market at Bologna’s Cersaie Trade Fair (September 28th – October 2nd 2015). See below for flooring by Manuel Barbieri.
But first, two tidbits of news:
„Omini“ is the name of vases reminiscent of humanoid figures. The hollow interior ensures light weight. The vases are available in Carrara Marble.
„Disco“ is a receptacle in alternating black and white rings. The foot and rim of the receptacle are slanted at a 45° angle. The press release implies that the pieces could pass as U.F.O.’s.
Producer of the pieces is Italian company Scandola Marmi.
