Italian specialists for product design with natural stone present the models for two new collections
The charm of industrial designer Raffaello Galiotto’s works is that his décor is new but somehow familiar to the beholder. So, too, the pieces the new collection „Le Pietre Incise“ produced brought to the market by Lithos Design.
Readers will find that the surface of tiles on the photo above and on the next photo ring a bell, although the design has never appeared in wall tiles. We reveal the secret: it’s all in the name – „Palma“ is what the design is called and Galiotto derived his inspiration from the elongated palm fronds.
Plants were models for other design ideas by Galiotto and Lithos Design as well.
„In the case of „Tropico“ e.g., the juicy green of some tropical trees stood model…,
… „Luxury 5“ is reminiscent of stalks, or rushes.
The model is not part of the Le Pietre Incise Collection but rather of the „Luxury“-Collection. In the case of „Luxury 5“ certain surface structures are highlighted in gold or silver leaf.
„Luxury 6“ picks up on a stylized lily. The tree petals are held together by a ribbon. In Heraldic décor this was often used, formerly a symbol of French Royalty and Fleur de Lys.
„Diamante“ plays with light refraction in gems.
Models measure 60 x. 60 x 2 cm.
