Architects Erika Pisa and Nicola Violano play the gamut and go new ways in marble and granite design for Helios Automazioni Company
Addendum to our Marmomacc 2015 reports: a design project located in the machinery exhibit-hall deserves extra attention: in cooperation with Helios Automazioni Company, Erika Pisa and Nicola Violano presented their design ideas for tiles and surfaces in natural stone. One distinguishing factor was that the prototypes are being realized by different producers distributed over great distances.
In keeping with modern business administration and managerial concepts, a virtual production site was called to life to demonstrate common ground of architects, providers of new ideas, machine producers, and last but not least, natural stone as a material. The project was dubbed „Atlas“.
The architects tested the possibilities available off the beaten track at the disposal of the stone branch i.e. using computer driven machinery and tools.
We show some of the objects presented at the Helios Automazioni Company stand in Hall 3 of Verona’s Marmomacc.
