The trade fair in Verona from September 28 – October 01, 2016 will have as highlights the Italian Stone Theatre, an incoming operators’ program and the Stone Summit
„Made in Italy“ will again be in the focus of this year’s special events of Marmomacc (September 28 – October 01). The initiatives will be implemented thanks to a special promotion plan launched by the Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and Confindustria Marmomacchine, Veronafiere informs.
The program for Marmomacc’s 51st edition will develop along three main guidelines: The Italian Stone Theatre, incoming operations involving qualified international operators and the International Stone Summit.
The Italian Stone Theatre, again in Hall 1, will be home to specific exhibitions highlighting natural stone, machinery and technology. It will also be the venue for conferences and workshops with architects and designers as well. In a corner of Hall 1 will also be held the Ristorante d’Autore, a project that aims to celebrate Italian cuisine; according to Veronafiere „a tribute to two of our country’s products of excellence: marble and food“.
Like last year, international operators will be brought to the fair. Several foreign trade delegations of industry professionals will take part in dedicated technical training sessions, b2B meetings and visits to companies in the area.
The International Stone Summit, now at its second edition, will bring together speakers from national stone associations. It has the „goal of developing content and stimulate discussions and debate about natural stone“, according to Veronafiere’s press release.
Last year’s Marmomacc had 1524 exhibitors – including 936 from 55 countries – and 67,000 professional visitors, +3% compared to 2014. International attendance was 57% of the total.
