At the opening of this year’s 58th edition of the fair, Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere trade fair company, called “internationalization“ the key aim of a “rebranding and repositioning” of Marmomac. In February 2024, important news was announced: The previous Vitória Stone Fair will in future function as Marmomac Brasil and move to Brazil’s economic center São Paulo. It was extensively advertised at Marmomac.
The aim of the new fair is to bring the Brazilian stone market closer to its most important customer, the USA, and thus give Italian companies in particular better opportunities there. Because the profile of Marmomac in Verona traditionally includes promoting “Made in Italy.“ In previous years, the term “Italian Excellence“ was always used.
A few years ago, Veronafiere bought the trade fair in Vitória and other events from the Brazilian organizer Milanze & Milanze. Now, the Italians want to increase it to 300 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors from 60 countries by the start (February 18 – 20, 2025).
The aim is to reach architects, interior designers, representatives of construction companies and professionals for large projects in particular, it was said.
Fabio Cruz from the Brazilian association Centrorochas welcomed the new Marmomac Brasil during Marmomac: Brazil’s stone sector also hopes that it will give it better access to the markets in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, which has also been the focus of international stone exporters for some time.
It should be noted that there has been a very successful interior design trade fair in São Paulo for many years, the Expo Revestir (March 10 – 14, 2025).
Back to Marmomac. The following table shows the statistics of visitors and exhibitors since Covid:

It was bestowed to: Trambisera Marmi srl (Category: Design Italy), Stonetech Group (Design International), Boart & Wire (Innovation Italy), and Fravizel (Innovation International). The 2024 edition of fair saw many deserving stands. This is why the jury decided to award Special Mentions to Lupi Pietre by King Stone and to Prometec. Another Special Mention was awarded by the students of the Exhibit Design, Publishing, and Digital Graphic Design course at IUSVE (Salesian University Institute of Venice) to Italian company Cereser Marmi.
